Job summary

Worley seeks a Lead Design Structure Engineer to join our Indonesia team. You will oversee the structural engineering discipline, ensuring deliverables meet contract requirements and obtain technical sign-off for changes.

The role requires extensive structural engineering experience, safety acumen, and geothermal, SAGS, or power/oil & gas plant design exposure. You will lead design reviews and ensure standards compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Basic safety knowledge and ability to implement safety processes.
• Design engineers with geothermal power plant and Steam Field Above Ground (SAGS) experience.
• Experience in power or oil & gas plant design and geothermal plant specs (Rankine and ORC).

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary designs and specifications for power plant and SAGS projects.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations; consolidate comments from other disciplines and operations.
• Provide structural designs that withstand stresses from use and environmental conditions; select materials and inspect construction.
• Evaluate structures of power plants, maintenance workshops, mezzanine floors, and office buildings to ensure soundness.
• Focus on design, engineering, construction and maintenance of infrastructure including buildings, roads, bridges and underground works.
• Lead design and maintenance for structures and underground works; coordinate with other disciplines.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for Lead Structure Engineer to join our team in Indonesia.

The Role Responsibilities Include

• Development of preliminary designs and specifications, development of performance-based EPC contract documents for power plant and SAGS, tender evaluation, design review and attendance at key factory acceptance tests.
• Ensures the correct implementation of relevant international standards and any applicable regulations requirements, review and comments (including the consolidation of the comments from the other engineering disciplines and operations) of the key deliverables such as Safety In Design (SID) Concept
• Provide structural engineers design structures that must endure stresses and pressures inflicted through human use and environmental conditions. They configure structures, choose appropriate building material, inspect the construction work and ensure the structural soundness of buildings and structures
• Structural engineer can evaluate the structure of power plant, maintenance workshop, mezzanine floor, chemical building office building. In general, a structural engineer is responsible for every building and structure created, ensuring every project is structurally sound and a feasible design for the desired results.
• Focuses on the design, engineering, construction and maintenance of a building, road, bridge, related infrastructure, and underground works such as a structure and equipment foundation, water and energy systems and the infrastructure for a cleaner environment
• Responsible for design, build, and maintenance for structures and underground works and focuses on the design and engineering of all type of stationary structures.

What You’ll Have

• Having 15 years of experience in structural engineering
• Having basic safety knowledge, able to implement safety process and mitigate risk effectively in order ensure safety working properly.
• Design engineers with specific geothermal power plant and Steam Field Above Ground (SAGS) experience.
• Experience in power or oil & gas plant design and specification of geothermal power plant comprising both conventional Rankine steam cycle and Organic Rankine Cycle plant.
