About the role

PT Gaya Makmur Mobil is seeking a skilled Export - Import Administration professional to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Raya, this role is pivotal to our operations in the manufacturing, transportation and logistics sector, specifically within import/export and customs administration. You will be responsible for managing the critical administrative functions that ensure seamless cross-border trade operations, supporting our company's ability to move goods efficiently and compliantly across international borders. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation as a reliable partner in the automotive and logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and processing export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and bills of lading
• Managing customs clearance procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and tariff classifications
• Coordinating with customs brokers, shipping agents and freight forwarders to expedite cargo movement
• Monitoring shipment status and tracking goods throughout the import/export process
• Ensuring accurate completion of customs forms and declarations to avoid delays or penalties
• Maintaining detailed records of all import/export transactions and documentation for audit purposes
• Communicating with internal departments, including sales, logistics and finance, to ensure timely and accurate shipment information
• Identifying and resolving documentation discrepancies or customs issues promptly
• Staying updated with changes in customs regulations, tariffs and international trade requirements
• Supporting cost optimisation by identifying duty-saving opportunities and appropriate trade schemes

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in export-import administration, customs brokerage or international trade operations, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sectors
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications and relevant international trade regulations
• Proficiency in using export-import management systems and customs documentation software
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Strong organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with customs authorities, shipping partners and internal stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with AHEAP (Automated Harmonized Tariff System) and Indonesian customs regulations
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex customs situations
• High level of integrity and commitment to compliance and accuracy
• Preferably, certification or qualifications in customs administration or international trade
