Job summary

PT Milona Petro Optima seeks a geologist to lead exploration planning, field data collection, and geological mapping of mineral deposits. You will develop technical maps using GIS software and support mineral resource evaluation.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Geology or related field, and familiarity with Leapfrog, Surpac, and Micromine. Field work and travel to project sites are required; fresh graduates are welcome with internship or field experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of geological mapping experience is preferred
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or field experience are welcome to apply
• Experience in geological mapping for nickel, bauxite, and/or gold is an advantage
• Familiar with GIS and geological modelling software such as Leapfrog, Surpac, and Micromine
• Good understanding of geological exploration activities, data management, and interpretation
• Willing to work in field-based environments and travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Develop exploration plans and strategies for mineral deposits
• Conduct geological mapping and field data collection to support exploration activities
• Compile, manage, verify, and validate exploration databases and geological data
• Conduct exploration data analysis and geological interpretation
• Generate technical and exploration maps using relevant GIS and geological software
• Assist in geological modelling and mineral resource evaluation
• Prepare technical documents, exploration reports, and mineral resources-related documentation
• Coordinate with the technical team and other relevant parties to support exploration projects
