Job summary

TechConnect is seeking an experienced Geologist to conduct mapping, sampling, and logging for mineral exploration projects in Indonesia. You will analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify mineral potential and develop geological models and resource estimates.

The role requires 3–6 years of experience, proficiency with Leapfrog/Surpac/Micromine, and the ability to interpret drilling data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in mineral exploration or mining geology.
• Strong understanding of mineral systems, ore genesis, and exploration techniques.
• Experience with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, Micromine).
• Ability to interpret drilling, geochemical, and geophysical datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote exploration sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and logging for mineral exploration projects
• Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify mineral potential
• Develop and update geological models and resource estimations
• Interpret drilling data and provide recommendations for further exploration
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and resource evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mining engineers and project managers
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Utilize software tools for geological modeling and data visualization
• Apply Python or other programming tools to automate data processing, analysis, and reporting
