Job summary

Capella Ubud seeks an Executive Housekeeper with a passion for luxury hospitality to lead the housekeeping team across guest rooms, public areas, heart of house and laundry. You will drive cleanliness standards, inventory management and cost control while coordinating with departments for seamless operations.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in a luxury hotel, familiarity with Opera, and strong leadership, problem solving and organizational skills to uphold Capella’s renowned service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years college degree.
• Desirable: 3 years progressive experience in luxury hotel.
• Familiar with Opera system.
• International housekeeping experience would be a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct the Housekeeping team based on occupancy, events, projects and business developments.
• Coordinate with key departments to ensure advanced preparations and daily needs are met at the highest level.
• Conduct daily inspections of arrival accommodation, stayovers, and public areas.
• Oversee Heart of House areas to match Front of House cleanliness and care.
• Manage and control guest supply inventory accurately.
• Manage and control linen and towel inventory accurately.
• Control Housekeeping expenses within budget guidelines.
• Assign internal housekeeping tasks in a timely manner.
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping preventative care plans and project schedules.
• Authorize and manage colleague schedules according to forecast and operational needs.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Ensure colleagues are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and colleagues.

Position Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper possesses a natural passion towards the craft of The Stay. Valued candidates should understand and embody the highest levels of hygiene, sanitation and excellence towards resort cleanliness with an uncompromising approach. Complimenting this, we are seeking motivated leaders who have proven problem solving ability, leadership & motivational qualities, highly organized traits and the talent to embrace responsibility. This key leadership position will oversee the full Housekeeping scope of operation for accommodation, public areas, heart of house areas and laundry.

Essential Duties:

1. To organize and direct the Housekeeping team based on camp occupancy, events, projects and business developments.
2. Communication & connection with key operational departments to ensure advance preparations when required and daily needs are being achieved at the highest level.
3. Being active is required with daily inspections of arrival accommodation, stayovers, and public areas.
4. Ensuring the Heart of House areas (offices, colleague locker, etc.) are provided an equal level of cleanliness and care as the Front of House.
5. Manage and control guest supply inventory accurately.
6. Manage and control linen and towel inventory accurately.
7. Manage and control Housekeeping expenses within budget guidelines.
8. Manage internal job assignments to Housekeeping in a timely manner.
9. Create daily, weekly, and monthly Housekeeping preventative care plans and project schedules.
10. Authorize and manage colleague schedules according to the business forecast and operational needs.
11. Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and grooming.
12. Ensure that colleagues are at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and colleagues.

Education Required:

1. Minimum 2 years college degree.

Desirable:

1. A minimum 3 years of progressive experience in the same position in a luxury hotel.
