Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an Executive Chef in Bali to lead our kitchen and deliver memorable dining experiences for up to 300 guests per service. You will guide the culinary team, uphold high standards, and collaborate with the F&B Director on events and menus.

The ideal candidate has a culinary degree or certificate and at least 5 years of chef experience, including supervisory responsibilities, with fluency in local languages.

Qualifications

• Proven 5 years of chef experience.
• Must speak local language(s).
• At least one year in a supervisory role or equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily kitchen activities and lead a team serving up to 300 guests.
• Coach and develop kitchen staff for high standards of quality and service.
• Encourage guest feedback to improve dining experiences.
• Assist the Food and Beverage Director with event planning and coordination.
• Collaborate with the finance team to forecast, plan and budget.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds
• Directing daily kitchen activities as well as coaching and developing a team capable of catering to around 300 guests
• Encouraging and addressing guest feedback
• Helping our Food and Beverage Director plan events
• Working closely with the finance team to forecast, plan and budget

What We need from you:

• Degree or certificate in culinary arts
• 5 years’ experience as a chef
• Must speak local language(s)
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and culinary/kitchen operations experience
