Job summary

Macquarie Group's Equity Research team in Jakarta invites you to contribute to market expansion across Asia on a 6-8 month fixed-term contract for parental leave cover.

You will support a seasoned team by updating financial models, conducting market analysis, preparing client presentations, and drafting quarterly results and sector reports, with opportunities to propose new ideas and engage with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a quantitative, economics, finance, computer science or similar discipline; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Relevant work or internship experience in equity research or investment analysis gained from a sell-side or buy-side environment
• Strong numerical and modelling skills, well-versed in financial concepts with exceptional communication skills and fluency in English
• Self-motivated with an analytical mindset and a passion in equity research and Indonesia's capital markets, with a drive to succeed and willingness to learn
• Sector knowledge in FMCG and Retail is advantageous but not a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain financial models and industry databases.
• Manage market analysis and client presentations and briefings.
• Write, preview and review quarterly results, sector updates and thematic reports.
• Generate new ideas, participate in coverage initiation on new companies, engage with senior stakeholders of the companies covered and help build our client base and revenue over time.
