Job summary

PT Karunia Pilar Nusantara is seeking an Environmental Specialist to implement and monitor environmental management programs, perform inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance on oil & gas projects in Teluk Bintuni, West Papua. The role requires strong analytics, reporting, and coordination with site teams and authorities.

Minimum 5 years in environmental management within oil & gas is preferred, with fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience in oil & gas or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations and AMDAL/UKL-UPL.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor environmental mgmt programs and AMDAL/UKL-UPL commitments.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring activities.
• Monitor air, water, soil, noise, waste, and pollution control.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations including PP 22/2021.
• Prepare environmental reports including RKL-RPL documentation.
• Conduct environmental training and support spill response investigations.
• Coordinate environmental activities with site teams, contractors, clients, and authorities.

Environmental Specialist

Job Descriptions

• Implement and monitor environmental management programs and AMDAL/UKL-UPL commitments
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring activities
• Monitor air, water, soil, noise, waste, and pollution control
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including PP No. 22/2021 and applicable Permen LHK
• Prepare environmental reports, including RKL-RPL documentation
• Conduct environmental awareness training and support spill response and incident investigations
• Coordinate environmental activities with site teams, contractors, clients, and relevant authorities

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations and AMDAL/UKL-UPL requirements
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring, waste management, and pollution control
• K3L certification or equivalent is preferred
• Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Willing to work on a rotational/site-based schedule in Teluk Bintuni, West Papua
