Job summary

KPMG Indonesia's ESG Services team is seeking an ESG Analyst to join a multidisciplinary group advising clients on sustainability, decarbonization, HSE and related ESG issues. You'll help analyze corporate activity and develop solutions across industries to strengthen ESG programs and reporting.

The role requires a bachelor's or master's, 1-2 years in ESG or related fields, and proficiency in English and Indonesian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, Economics, Engineering, International Relations, or related fields.
• 1-2 years of ESG, sustainability, consulting, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ESG reporting standards (ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to synthesize complex information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent English and Indonesian communication (written and spoken).
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python, R) is a plus.

Responsibilities

KPMG's ESG Services team combines a multi-disciplinary approach with deep, practical industry knowledge to help clients meet challenges and risk associated with emerging ESG/Sustainability, Decarbonization, HSE and Environmental related issues and respond to business opportunities.

What you will do:

• Work as part of and manage a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist companies to better understand and develop solutions to respond to the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with Corporate Sustainability and ESG.
• Review/analyze corporate activities and provide recommendations related to enhance their sustainability/ESG strategy, methods, framework, and related tools to support clients in achieving their sustainability/ ESG objectives.
• Manage the review and development of sustainability/ESG programs and related reporting, such as materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, ESG risk and opportunity identification, stakeholder engagement, gap analysis, metric/KPI identification (in alignment with common sustainability/ESG reporting standards (e.g., ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs)), and the preparation of reporting (internal and external) materials.
• Involved within engagement teams performing fieldwork, including project management, client management, review of analysis, work papers, reports and presentations.
• Overall management of projects, ensuring quality and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and manage budgets.

Desired skills & experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, Economics, Engineering, International Relations, or related fields.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, consulting, corporate responsibility, or related fields would be preferred (internship experience may be considered).
• Working knowledge of ESG reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian (both written and verbal).
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, R) is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
