Job summary

McDermott is seeking an entry-level Associate Dimensional Control Tech to perform surveying and measurement tasks under close supervision. You will assist in setting up control networks, perform weld and post-weld surveys, and generate dimensional control reports using AutoCAD and calculation tools.

The role requires a Senior high school graduate with a Diploma in Technical or Civil Engineering, familiarity with surveying instruments, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset and basic scientific method experience.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and measurement principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Dimensional Control Tech in setting out primary control and establishing a control network.
• Perform post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and governing specs.
• Perform pre-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan.
• Survey miscellaneous assemblies as required.
• Conduct continuous level surveys during load out and weighing.
• Prepare Dimensional Control reports.
• Generate out-of-tolerance (OOT) reports and resurvey after remedial action.
• Monitor and update equipment calibration register.
• Prepare Calibration Certificates.
• Ensure latest drawings and calibrated equipment are used.
• Use survey-measuring equipment.
• Understand and implement ITP, Codes and Specifications.
• Operate AutoCAD and use calculation programs.
