Job summary

Hilton is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the hotel’s maintenance and facilities operations in Surabaya. You will help ensure reliable power, climate, and safety systems, while following regulatory requirements and safety protocols.

You will monitor equipment, assist in maintenance tasks, and train junior technicians. The role requires flexibility for day and night shifts and a proactive service mindset to deliver guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Familiar with the operation principles and fault judgment methods of large data centre infrastructure (power supply, air conditioning, fire control, security, monitoring, network, etc.).
• Willing to be engaged in the monitoring post for day shift and night shift for a long period, and have enough time to study.
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, and learning ability.
• Active and motivated in work, with a good sense of service.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: follow staff rules and management commands for safe equipment use.
• Operational Management: ensure normal operation of hotel power, water, gas, heating, and cooling equipment.
• Record Keeping: inspect operation and handover records promptly and accurately.
• Equipment Maintenance: inspect and maintain equipment and facilities under your jurisdiction.
• Energy Management: save energy and improve efficiency.
• Event Support: assist with maintenance for banquets and meetings and ensure equipment functions.
• Emergency Preparedness: test-run the generator during power outages.
• Fire Safety Supervision: supervise fire preventive works and address violations.
• Training & Development: supervise and train technicians and apprentices.
• Tool Management: manage tools and record usage; address disciplinary actions if needed.
