Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all technical operations at a charcoal briquette factory in Central Java. You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities, and production infrastructure while guiding engineers and technicians to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a hands-on leader who ensures safety, energy efficiency, and alignment with production targets and business goals. Travel between plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
• PE certification preferred; automation or electrical safety certs a plus.
• 5–7 years engineering experience with at least 3 years in leadership roles in manufacturing or automation.
• Experience with maintenance in factories and knowledge of automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily engineering and maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Oversee machinery, utilities, and production infrastructure for reliability and efficiency.
• Manage and mentor engineers and technicians; enforce safety and continuous improvement.
• Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
