Job summary

SAMPOERNA ACADEMY in Indonesia is seeking an Associate Teacher for Elementary for AY 26/27. This full-time role supports the lead teacher with designing and facilitating learning activities, classroom management and student engagement across core subjects, including Indonesian language, BIPA and Civics, under guidance.

Ideal candidates hold a minimum Bachelor's in Elementary Education (PGSD) and have at least 3 years in education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PGSD) required.
Minimum 3 years in a teaching/support role in education.
Compassionate, nurturing attitude with strong child development understanding.
Excellent communication in Bahasa and English.
Experience with Cambridge curriculum is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing learning activities, classroom management and student engagement under the lead teacher.
Design and deliver activities for local subjects (Indonesian, BIPA, Civics) with guidance of the lead teacher.
Support the lead teacher in providing pastoral care and fostering an environment that promotes students’ holistic growth.
Serve as a positive role model for students, upholding the school's mission and maintaining high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Pursue professional development to improve teaching practices and personal growth, including workshops, seminars, and educational courses relevant to teaching young children.
