Job summary

Cognex Corporation in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Triage and Repair Technician to join our engineering support team at Panbil Industrial Estate. You will troubleshoot and repair returned products, aiming to quickly determine root causes and provide replacements when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical product debug experience, preferably with commercial embedded systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical, optical, and software concepts for debugging.
• Basic soldering skills.
• Ability to quickly learn from existing documentation and tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate product failures to identify root causes.
• Repair and refurbish returned products to provide replacements.
• Assist Engineering with product and PCBA debug and ensuring product performance.
• Collaborate with Design, Process, Test and Manufacturing Engineering to solve issues.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
