Job description

Electrical Technician role within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. You will install, repair, inspect and commission products and equipment, report and document results, support the customer's product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements, and plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for electrical equipment
• Carry out inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability and provide recommendations to customers and personnel
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to all machine equipment covered
• Support maintenance activities during shutdown, turnaround, and emergency situations
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential electrical abnormalities or failures
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history properly
• Coordinate with operation and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams or independently

About you

• Minimum Technical High School in Mechanical/Automotive/Electronic/Mechatronic
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Electronic/Mechatronic is an advantage
• Basic Mechanical Training and EHS
• Strong Knowledge of the working principles of Sandvik Equipment
• Able to read and understand technical drawings (Electric Schematic, Service Manuals, and Parts Books)
• Good communication skills with the teams, superiors, and other departments
• Basic English communication (Listening, Writing, Speaking)
• Able to work under internal and external pressure
• Able to use a computer (basic Microsoft Word and Excel) for report preparation
• Minimum 2 - 3 years experience on equipment maintenance and trouble shooting, specifically in Electrical Technician
