Job summary

PT Bajra Mandalasakti is seeking an Electrical Site Project Engineer to act as the technical interface between the Head Office Engineering team and client construction/commissioning teams. You will ensure alignment with AFC, translate design intent into field instructions, and coordinate with vendors for full design integration.

The role requires ongoing walk-downs, RFIs processing, and proactive support during pre-commissioning, dry commissioning, and wet commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar project engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of local and global electrical codes and standards (PUIL, IEC, IEEE, ANSI).
• Understanding of technical drawing principles and standards.
• Ability to interpret complex loop drawings, wiring schematics, interconnection diagrams and vendor drawings.
• Willingness to work on remote project site locations.
• Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills.
• Fluent in English both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical interface between the Head Office Engineering team and Clients’ Engineering/Construction/Commissioning teams to ensure AFC alignment.
• Translate complex design intent into actionable field instructions for construction works.
• Review, validate, and process Technical Queries and RFIs; coordinate with lead discipline engineers for AFC changes.
• Conduct walk-downs of electrical and instrument systems to ensure installation matches AFC documentation.
• Coordinate with package vendors to ensure complete design integration and resolve gaps.
• Provide technical support for equipment installation, cable support, termination, and cable drum management.
• Initiate and track Management of Change for significant design deviations during construction.
• Provide Red-Line Markup, review and approve red-line markups for As-Built phase.
• Ensure compliance with project safety standards and assist during pre-/wet commissioning.
