Job description

Electrical & Instrumentation Technician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems in a gas regasification facility. The role involves working with LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, control systems, and instrumentation equipment in an operational and field environment.

Key responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify electrical problems using various testing devices

Inspect circuit breakers and other electrical components

Conduct general electrical maintenance and repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools

Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems

Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations

Understand and troubleshoot Control System logic, interlock, sequence, and communication systems (PLC)

Understand and maintain Emergency Safety System / Emergency Shutdown System (ESD)

Perform instrument calibration, loop checking, and function testing

Perform troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control systems

Support commissioning, testing, and system troubleshooting activities

About you

Minimum Diploma (D3) in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, or E&I maintenance, preferably in oil & gas, LNG, power plant, or industrial facilities

Able to work with LV/MV electrical systems and switchgear

Have practical knowledge of electrical maintenance and power distribution systems

Have practical knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, ESD, FAS, F&G, and metering systems

Able to read and understand Electrical Drawing, Schematic Diagram, Loop Diagram, P&ID, and Cause & Effect Diagram

Familiar with electrical and instrumentation tools and testing equipment

Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe work practices

Able to coordinate effectively with operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors

Willing to work in Nias and operational/field environment
