Job summary

PT Persol Recruitment Indonesia is seeking an Environmental and Occupational Health Specialist to support continuous improvement of environmental and health management systems. The role focuses on waste management, regulatory compliance, and workplace health initiatives at the Merak Site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and company standards.
• Monitor and manage waste, wastewater, air emissions, hazardous materials, and other environmental aspects.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities and maintain required records.
• Coordinate hazardous waste handling in Merak Site including hazardous waste handling and electronic reporting in SIMPEL.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory authorities (PROPER) and management.
• Develop and implement occupational health programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate employee medical examinations (pre-employment, periodic, special, and return-to-work assessments).
• Coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring activities such as noise, dust, illumination, heat stress, and air quality assessments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual EHSS performance reports.

Job description

To support continuous improvement of Environmental and Occupational Health Management Systems in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations. To contribute to the development and implementation of environmental management programs, including waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and environmental compliance. To contribute to occupational health initiatives by promoting employee well-being, industrial hygiene monitoring, health surveillance, and workplace health risk management.

Key responsibilities

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and company standards

Monitor and manage waste, wastewater, air emissions, hazardous materials, and other environmental aspects

Conduct environmental inspections and audits to identify compliance gaps and improvement opportunities

Coordinate environmental monitoring activities and maintain required records

Coordinate hazardous waste handling in Merak Site including hazardous waste (LB3) handling in TPS B3 and electronic reporting in SIMPEL

Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory authorities (PROPER) and management

Develop and implement occupational health programs and initiatives

About you

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field

1-2 years of experience in Environmental, Occupational Health, or EHSS functions
