Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Editorial & Graphic Designer to join our creative team based in Bali. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling editorial content and designs that communicate our brand message effectively across multiple platforms and publications. This is a key position within our Design & Architecture division, where you will have the opportunity to shape the visual identity of our editorial output and contribute to our strategic creative objectives. This position offers the flexibility to work from our Bali location, providing an inspiring environment for creative collaboration and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualising, designing and producing editorial layouts for magazines, newsletters, digital publications and other print and digital media
• Creating visually engaging graphics, illustrations and visual assets that align with brand guidelines and editorial objectives
• Collaborating with editors, writers and other stakeholders to understand content requirements and translate them into compelling visual designs
• Managing the full design workflow from initial concept development through to final production and delivery
• Selecting and sourcing appropriate imagery, typography and design elements to enhance editorial content
• Ensuring consistency in design quality, brand application and visual storytelling across all editorial materials
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of design trends, tools and industry best practices within editorial and graphic design
• Liaising with printers, digital platforms and production teams to ensure designs are optimised for their respective outputs

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 3–5 years' professional experience in editorial design, graphic design or a related creative discipline
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design tools
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in editorial layout, typography and visual communication
• Excellent understanding of print production processes, digital publishing formats and design specifications
• Strong visual communication skills with the ability to translate briefs into innovative and aesthetically compelling designs
• Ability to work collaboratively with editors, writers and other team members whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to quality control and accuracy
• Experience with digital design tools, web design principles and responsive design practices is advantageous
• A keen eye for aesthetics, layout composition, colour theory and visual hierarchy
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet tight editorial deadlines
