Job summary

Samudera Indonesia invites applications for a Shipping Operations Coordinator to join our team in Jakarta. You will regularly report day-to-day ship operations, manage documentation, and optimize resource utilization to ensure on-time vessel movements.

You will coordinate with vessel masters, port agents, and internal departments to resolve issues, maintain records, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations. A Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation, Nautical Science, Port and Shipping Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping operations, marine coordination, vessel operations, or a related maritime role.
• Good understanding of vessel operations, port procedures, shipping documentation, and maritime regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Good communication, coordination, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Regularly report day to day activity related to ship operations starting from cargo receiving activities on board.
• Report if there are any problems when carrying out shipping operations.
• Check various documents, such as delivery documents, invoices, and other shipping operation documents.
• Optimize utilisation of resources and prepare ship position updates.
• Coordinate with vessel masters, port agents, terminals, and internal departments to ensure smooth vessel operations.
