Job summary

GP Solution seeks a Chief Engineer Trainee (Dredging Vessel) in Indonesia. This entry point targets motivated Indonesian engine officers with offshore or high-intensity vessel experience and current COC Class I, STCW, medical fitness, and Seafarer’s Book.

Prior dredging is not required, but engine room exposure on DP, AHTS, construction, or cable-laying vessels is valued. The role emphasizes safety, training, and progression to senior engineering roles.

Qualifications

• Must hold COC Class I (Chief Engineer) and STCW certificates.
• Must have medical fitness and Seafarer’s Book.
• Strong English communication in technical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support safe and reliable engine room and technical system operations.
• Learn operation and maintenance of main engines and auxiliary machinery, including dredging-related systems.
• Assist in planned maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Develop leadership by assisting in supervising engine room crew and monitoring compliance with QHSE, ISM and PTW.
