Job summary

Flex is seeking a Director, Operations Engineering to lead Batam, Indonesia operations, driving excellence in production, planning and logistics while aligning with strategic goals.

The role reports to the General Manager and requires a strong track record in staff leadership, P&L management and cross-functional program execution to ensure on-time, cost-efficient delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• MBA degree preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of management experience in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and core functions of operations to achieve operational excellence.
• Direct and control activities across purchasing, production control, planning, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and logistics.
• Define and execute operational programs in line with strategic plans and annual goals.
• Meet with Executive Business at least monthly to review KOIs and performance.
• Attend quarterly business reviews with key customers and partner with other businesses on strategic plans.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director, Operations Engineering located in Batam, Indonesia.

The Director, Operations Engineering reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:

Production and delivery in full, on time, and in specifications required by customers, at the most competitive cost.

Operational business experience including a successful performance track record managing staff and P&L.

Establish and communicate Business Unit goals and assignments.

Define and execute operational programs in line with strategic plans and annual operating goals.

Meet with Executive Business at least monthly to review and evaluate KOI's.

Attend quarterly business reviews with key customers.

Partner with other businesses to establish strategic plans and goals.

Direct and control the activities on purchasing business, production control, planning, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and logistics.

Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of management experience in relevant industries.
