Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Indonesia is a food rescue foundation dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger. We work with hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, food producers, and communities to rescue surplus food and redistribute it to people in need, creating both social and environmental impact.
We are looking for a creative, passionate, and purpose-driven Marketing & Digital Communication Specialist to strengthen our digital presence, grow community engagement, and amplify our mission through compelling storytelling.
About the Role
As our Marketing & Digital Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing our social media platforms, maintaining our website, supporting marketing campaigns, and helping increase awareness of SOS Indonesia's programs and impact.
You will work closely with our fundraising, partnerships, and program teams to communicate inspiring stories that engage donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, create, and manage content across social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and others).
Develop and manage a monthly content calendar aligned with campaigns and organizational priorities.
Capture and edit photos and videos from SOS activities, events, and partnerships.
Design engaging graphics, reels, and digital marketing materials.
Write compelling captions, blogs, newsletters, website content, and campaign materials.
Monitor social media performance and prepare monthly analytics reports with actionable insights.
Support marketing campaigns, fundraising initiatives, CSR partnerships, events, and public awareness activities.
Maintain and regularly update the SOS Indonesia website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with organizational branding.
Implement and maintain SEO best practices to improve website visibility, search rankings, and organic traffic.
Support marketing automation initiatives, including email marketing, audience segmentation, lead nurturing, and CRM management.
Manage and maintain marketing databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate contact information and effective campaign tracking.
Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather stories, impact data, and program updates.
Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, social media best practices, and emerging technologies to improve engagement and campaign performance.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Relevant internship, volunteer, freelance, or project experience in marketing, social media, or digital communications will be considered an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or similar editing software).
Experience creating short-form video content for social media.
Experience managing websites using CMS platforms such as Wix, WordPress or similar.
Understanding of SEO principles, Google Analytics, and website performance optimization.
Experience with marketing automation platforms, email marketing tools, and CRM systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, and social media analytics tools.
Photography and videography skills are highly desirable.
Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn.
