• Excellent attention to detail for precise drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills for team collaboration.
• Problem-solving abilities in design challenges.
• Experience with 3D modelling and rendering is advantageous.
• Familiarity with project management and design documentation systems.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Cikarang Pusat, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our design and drafting operations. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, designs, and engineering solutions that form the foundation of our project delivery. This role is integral to ensuring that our designs are accurate, efficient, and compliant with all relevant standards and regulations. You will work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and other engineering professionals to translate conceptual ideas into comprehensive design documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings and design documentation using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools
• Conduct engineering analysis and calculations to support design decisions and ensure technical feasibility
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to refine designs based on feedback and project requirements
• Prepare comprehensive design specifications, bill of materials, and assembly instructions
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client specifications
• Review and revise drawings based on constructive feedback from team members and clients
• Maintain accurate and organised design documentation and project files
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and design presentations for clients
• Participate in design reviews and problem-solving sessions to improve design quality and efficiency

What we’re looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven experience in engineering drafting and design, preferably in a professional engineering environment
• Proficiency with CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms)
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, technical standards, and best practices
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
• Good understanding of design tolerances, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and manufacturing processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges
• Experience with 3D modelling and rendering is advantageous
• Familiarity with project management and design documentation systems is a plus
