Job summary

BukuWarung is building a unified data platform to power credit, fraud, and analytics across Southeast Asia. As a Data Platform Engineer, you’ll craft batch and streaming pipelines, data models, and tooling to turn raw data into trustworthy datasets used company-wide.

You’ll work with senior engineers to ensure reliability, governance, and easy access for analysts and ML engineers, while learning and growing in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL and Python; able to write clean, testable code.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining data pipelines and data warehouses.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) and transformation tooling (dbt or Spark).
• Understanding of data modeling and data quality importance.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
• Develop clean, well-documented data models and transformations for analytics and ML.
• Contribute to streaming workflows (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming) and support fraud/credit use cases.
• Write reliable, tested code and participate in reviews.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring; investigate failures and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with analysts, ML engineers, and business teams to deliver usable datasets.
