Job summary

Folkatech is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines powering analytics. You will work with data analysts, backend engineers, and product teams to ensure data accessibility and performance across the organization.

The role emphasizes ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and data governance, with cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and collaboration across cross-functional teams. On-site Jakarta-based, project-based arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DE/IS or related field.
• 3 years of data engineering or backend data experience.
• Strong SQL plus Python or Go proficiency.
• Hands-on with data pipeline tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Synapse).
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL design, data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data models and data warehouses.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, and third-party sources.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Implement data governance, documentation, and version control.
• Work with DevOps to deploy data solutions in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize pipelines for performance and cost.
