Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Data Center Technical Project Manager in Jakarta to lead end-to-end data center delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing green-field projects.

The role focuses on data center standards, electrical and telecom fit-out, and collaboration with the design and operation teams to ensure quality and timely delivery in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in project delivery for a minimum 50 MW project.
• Familiar with data center building standards & authority requirements in APAC, esp. Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the end to end project management of data center delivery including cross-functional team collaboration.
• Responsible for the management of data center providers for green field project.
• Responsible for Electrical & Telecom Fitout work of the data hall.
• Responsible for localisation of data center standards including workmanship & design.
• Support site selection related tasks in APAC region.
• Support technical review for data center infrastructure.
• Work closely with the design team for the optimization of data hall standards.
• Support local operation team for post handover defect rectification.

About the TeamByteDance Data Center Development team is responsible for building Data Center and Network in the Asia Pacific region. Our work involves, but not limiting to, data center innovation, implementing advanced technologies and renewable energy to achieve carbon-neutrality, rapid project delivery, capacity planning, process and risk control, cost management, etc. Our objective is to provide ByteDance with efficient Data Center infrastructure services to support our business growth.The Global Delivery Management team is mainly responsible for site selection, acquisition, and project delivery.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the end to end project management of data center delivery including cross-functional team collaboration
• Responsible for the management of data center providers for green field project
• Responsible for Electrical & Telecom Fitout work of the data hall
• Responsible for localisation of data center standards including worksmanship & design
• Support site selection related task in APAC region
• Support technical review for data center infrastructure
• Work closely with the design team for the optimization of data hall standards

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in a similar field and/or relevant experience in project delivery for a minimum 50 MW project
• Familiar with data center building standards & authority requirements in APAC region; especially in Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia

Preferred Qualifications

• Good relations with local electrical & telecom fit-out contractor will be a plus
• Good relations with local telecommunication authorities & carriers will be a plus
• Certification as a Professional Engineer will be a plus
