Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Day Technician to support the daily operation of the Client's ICT infrastructure onsite. You will monitor vendors, verify permits, and help with maintenance, installation, and project tasks in line with SOPs and HSSE standards.

The role requires handling remote hands for servers and network gear, assisting with rack and patch activities, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT/Engineering or related field.
• Experience in data center operations or ICT infrastructure support preferred.
• Understanding of server hardware, network infrastructure, and cabling.
• Familiarity with rack and stack, patch management, and remote hands.
• Knowledge of data center procedures, change management, and maintenance.
• Ability to read technical docs and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers within the data center.
• Verify work permits, maintenance scopes, and access authorizations before work starts.
• Support ICT maintenance, installation, and project activities per MOP/SOP and safety rules.
• Provide remote hands support for servers, network devices, storage, and related ICT infrastructure.
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, replacement, labeling, and decommissioning tasks.
• Perform visual inspections of ICT equipment, racks, cabling, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Operations, Network, Server, Asset Mgmt, Facilities, Security and external vendors.
