Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.

The role supports critical and technical services, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems, safety, and regulatory compliance. The technician will conduct daily site inspections, respond to BMS alarms, work with third party vendors, and ensure quality maintenance records.

Qualifications

Technical training with 1–2 years of job-related experience; ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
Ability to present information effectively to internal departments, clients, management and colleagues.
Follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on data center equipment.
Monitor and respond to Building Management System alarms.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with SLA and regulations.
Complete planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
Ensure safety and quality standards are met and maintain maintenance records.
Attend required training to perform job duties.
