Job summary

RICEBOWL.MY is seeking a cybersecurity professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience across security disciplines. You will monitor risks, address vulnerabilities, and perform security testing while guiding internal teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT security or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, security testing or penetration testing.
• Understanding of network, application, endpoint and data security.
• Knowledge of security policies, risk management and access control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on while also advising and guiding internal teams.
• Experience in a cybersecurity company, IT security consultancy or software/technology environment is an advantage.

• Identify and address vulnerabilities, security gaps and potential points of attack.
• Conduct security testing, vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing where required.
• Monitor and investigate suspicious activities, unauthorised access and potential security incidents.
• Develop and maintain internal information security policies, procedures and access controls.
• Review how employees access, store, transfer and share sensitive company and customer data.
• Support data protection, compliance and security governance requirements.
• Work with teams to implement appropriate security controls.
• Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations to identify the cause and impact.
• Conduct regular security reviews and provide recommendations to management.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and best practices.
