Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role involves performing janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety procedures in a team setting.

Typical shift is Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm, with compensation of $18–$19 per hour. No specific education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; Forklift certification may be required. Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and daily cleaning tasks.

• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with team and customers.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team

Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment

Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
