Job summary

Electrum is seeking a Data Scientist – Credit Analytics to build, analyze, and optimize credit risk models supporting Electrum’s financing, rent-to-own, and partner credit programs. You will collaborate with Risk, Finance, Product, and Operations to translate data into actionable insights that drive better credit decisions, portfolio performance, and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of experience in credit analytics or risk modeling.
• Strong Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk segmentation.
• Analyze customer, transaction, and behavioral data for creditworthiness.
• Build models for approval rate, delinquency, default, and recovery.
• Monitor portfolio metrics (NPL, PD, LGD, ECL, vintage analysis).
• Design dashboards to track portfolio health and early warning indicators.
