Job summary

GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. in Jakarta seeks an experienced accounting professional to oversee daily accounting, reporting, and control activities for multiple lines of business.

You will drive automation and AI-powered improvements, conduct month-end close, reconciliations, and collaborate across Operations, FP&A, Tax, and Regional Accounting.

This role reports to the Country Controller Manager and works onsite at the Jakarta office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting; 3+ years' experience in accounting, preferably tech industry.
• PSAK and IFRS knowledge with strong Excel skills; experience with Oracle ERP.
• Proven track record using AI or automation to refine workflows with tangible time savings.
• Methodical and detail-oriented, with flexibility to handle changing priorities.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia; strong cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and journal entries; review P&L, balance sheet, and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Enforce financial controls, identify gaps, and respond to audits with prepared schedules.
• Use AI and automation tools to eliminate manual efforts across reporting, reconciliations, and audit workflows, sharing best practices.
• Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, Tax, SSC, and Regional Accounting to assess effects for new business models and guide ERP/system standardization projects.

Get to Know the Role

You will oversee daily accounting, reporting, and control activities for multiple line of business in the organization.

Beyond delivering an accurate for closing, this role actively challenges how it does the work. We are looking for someone who genuinely curiosity-looks for AI and automation, who experiments on their own initiative, and who repeats a manual process twice with no comfort when they can automate it once. You will work as individual contributor. You will be reporting to Country Controller Manager. Working onsite in Jakarta office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Oversee month-end close and manual journals; review P&L, balance sheet, and reconciliations for accuracy under PSAK/IFRS. Conduct variance analyses, resolve outstanding items, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver applicable business insights.
• Enforce financial controls, identify process gaps, and serve as the main audit point of contact by preparing schedules and resolving auditor inquiries.
• Use AI and automation tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Excel macros) to eliminate manual efforts across reporting, reconciliations, and audit workflows, sharing best practices with the team.
• Partner with Operations, FP&A, Tax, SSC, and Regional Accounting to resolve issues, assess accounting possible effects for new business models/partnerships, and guide ERP or system standardization projects.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's in Accounting; 3+ years' experience (tech industry preferred).
• PSAK, IFRS, Advanced Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), and basic SQL/DBeaver.
• Proven track record using AI or automation to refine workflows (with examples of tools built and time saved).
• Methodical and detail-conscious, with flexibility in managing changing priorities.
• Collaborative across diverse teams, with full proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
