Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Regional Business Finance professional to shape IFRS accounting for Deliveries across SEA. You will partner with product, operations and commercial teams to keep reporting auditable and compliant as the business scales.

You’ll translate complex IFRS guidance into clear guidance for product and commercial teams. Based in Grab's Indonesia office in South Jakarta, you will drive regional frameworks, coordinate with local controllers and FP&A, and lead audit and SOX efforts

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in controllership, technical accounting, or audit with IFRS and internal controls.
• Experience supporting multi-country operations and digital platform models.
• Strong collaboration, able to influence without direct authority.
• Judgment balancing accounting rigor with business practicality in uncertain situations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, ops and commercial teams on upcoming projects, surface accounting implications early.
• Lead accounting treatment for new Deliveries products per IFRS; resolve ambiguities with accounting teams.
• Oversee regional framework for Deliveries products across SEA; ensure consistency.
• Identify and fix historical revenue/cost misalignments; document accounting positions.
• Oversee end-to-end finance reporting for Deliveries, coordinating with country finance and SSC.
• Serve as regional contact for group-level financial audit and SOX for Deliveries; guide country teams.

Join Regional Business Finance — team shaping how Grab accounts for what's next. We're the subject matter expert on the accounting treatment of Grab's business activities, standardizing how new initiatives and product launches are accounted for (particularly on revenue recognition), so our numbers stay accurate and audit-ready as the business innovates. We're also a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the region, turning complex accounting concepts into clear, well-informed business decisions.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Regional Business Finance Manager for Grab's Deliveries business segment (food and goods ordering and delivery booking, supermarket, package delivery booking, dine-out and others), you will combine technical accounting expertise with strong business partnering to keep our fast-growing segment audit-ready as it scales. You will operate independently, helping build the scalable regional frameworks the deliveries business runs on — equally at ease debating IFRS positions with auditors and translating them into plain-language guidance for product and commercial teams.

You will be base at our Indonesia office in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Partner early with product, operations, and commercial teams on upcoming projects — surfacing accounting implications before launch and advising on operational processes so downstream reporting stays clean and auditable.
• Determine and lead the accounting treatment for new Deliveries product offerings and business plans in accordance with IFRS, resolving ambiguous positions together with technical accounting teams.
• Oversee the regional accounting framework for Deliveries products across SEA — driving application consistency across business departments and countries, and correcting deviations in partnership with local controllers and FP&As.
• Identify and fix historical misalignments in revenue or cost accounting in a controlled, auditable manner, and maintain written accounting positions to support audit readiness.
• Oversee the finance reporting process for the Deliveries business end-to-end, aligning with process, data, and systems owners on design and governance while execution is delegated to country finance or SSC teams.
• Act as the regional point of contact for group-level financial audit and SOX for the Deliveries portfolio — fielding auditor queries, guiding country teams through local audits, and flagging control risks from business changes ahead of audit scoping.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Technical Accounting and Controls – 4–6 years of experience in controllership, technical accounting, or audit, with solid expertise in IFRS and internal controls.
• Regional and Industry Expertise – Experience supporting multi-country operations and diverse business models, with exposure to digital platform and marketplace being advantageous.
• Stakeholder Management and Influence – A good collaborator who can simplify complex accounting matters, influence cross-functional team partners, and lead alignment without direct authority.
• Commercial Judgment and Execution – Able to issues who balances accounting strigen cy with business practicality, exercises proper judgment in uncertain situations, and independently manages different priorities and workstreams.
