Job summary

Quest Oracle Community seeks a Core Banking Platform Engineer to ensure stability and performance of mission-critical core banking environments. You will investigate platform issues, support deployments, and collaborate with client teams across development, test, and production.

The role requires 3–6 years in platform engineering, strong Oracle/PLSQL skills, OpenShift and Kafka experience, and solid API proficiency with REST/HTTP and OAuth2. Avaloq exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in platform engineering or related operations.
• Strong Oracle and PL/SQL skills; familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kafka.
• API proficiency: REST/HTTP, OAuth2, observability of APIs.
• Plus point: Avaloq experience in environment operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application services, integrations, background jobs, and database components.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using logs, metrics, and configuration reviews; produce clear technical findings.
• Support installation, integration, and validation of changes across environments.
• Monitor platform health (storage, jobs, services) and drive preventative actions.
• Build/execute scripts and SQL/PLSQL queries to support diagnostics and daily operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and architecture on releases and environment readiness.
• Provide timely, professional communication and technical support to client teams.
