Job summary

PT Beyondsoft Technology Indonesia is seeking a Control System Engineer (DCS) to support offshore oil & gas platform operations in Jakarta, Indonesia, on a 6-month contract with potential extension.

The role requires hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, C300 DCS, and ControlEdge PLC, plus strong networking and FAT leadership. You will design, integrate, and test DCS/SIS/F&G systems and deliver training to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and process control systems.
• Deep proficiency with Honeywell Experion PKS, C300 DCS, and ControlEdge PLC portfolios.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial networking architectures, including Cisco switches, firewalls, and FTE setups.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC, HART, RS-485, and Industrial Ethernet.
• Demonstrated track record of handling system integration, hardware staging, and leading formal FAT sessions with EPC contractors.
• Excellent cross-functional coordination skills to manage vendor alignments and resolve engineering hurdles effectively.
• Willing to work for 6-months contract (extendable)

Responsibilities

• Configure and develop complex control logic and safety applications using Honeywell Experion PKS (R520.X/R530.X), C300 DCS, and ControlEdge PLC.
• Design operator graphic displays, logic applications, and SCADA Modbus architectures using HMI Builder and Quick Builder workflows.
• Design and integrate hardware systems for DCS, SIS (ESD/PSD), Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, third-party bulk cabinets, and operator consoles in alignment with vendor specifications.
• Set up secured virtual server staging environments, deploy endpoint protections/anti-virus, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office configurations.
• Configure robust industrial communication networks utilizing Cisco switches, VLANs, STP/MST, firewalls, Moxa Terminal Servers, and specialized Fault Tolerant Ethernet (FTE) switches.
• Execute comprehensive internal I/O loop checks and FAT/IFAT at the Jakarta facility, troubleshooting issues to resolve client feedback and close punch lists.
• Deliver complete VDRL-compliant engineering documentation (network topology maps, test protocols, as-built drawings) and lead client training sessions.
