Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an experienced reservoir engineer in Indonesia to build and maintain reservoir simulation models for field development and management. You will perform history matching, forecasting, and uncertainty analyses while developing optimization scenarios.

The role involves integrating geological, PVT, well, and production data into simulations and presenting technical reports and recommendations based on results. Opportunities exist for growth within a global energy leader.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering and geoscience is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering.
• Experience with reservoir simulation, history matching, and uncertainty analysis expected.

Responsibilities

• Build, run, and maintain reservoir simulation models for field development and reservoir management.
• Perform history matching, production forecasting, sensitivity analysis and uncertainty assessment.
• Develop and evaluate reservoir development and optimization scenarios.
• Apply ResX for simulation workflows, model management, and uncertainty studies.
• Provide technical workshops, demonstrations and customer support as needed.

Job Duties

• Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering and geoscience and a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Build, run, and maintain reservoir simulation models for field development and reservoir management.
• Perform history matching, production forecasting, sensitivity, and uncertainty analysis.
• Develop and evaluate reservoir development and optimization scenarios.
• Apply ResX for reservoir simulation workflows, model management, scenario analysis, and uncertainty/ensemble based studies.
• Support assisted history matching and ensemble-based modelling workflows.
• Integrate geological, PVT, well, and production data into simulation studies.
• Work closely with reservoir, geoscience, and production engineering teams.
• Conduct technical workshops, demonstrations, and customer support when required.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on simulation results.
