Job summary

DayOne, a global data center leader, seeks a Project Coordination & Execution Support to oversee planning, execution, and handover of MEP construction works, coordinate with site teams, contractors, and vendors, and monitor progress to meet critical milestones and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in MEP or construction engineering.
• Experience in data center construction is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with local authority approvals and MEP testing & commissioning procedures.
• IST or critical infrastructure commissioning experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project) and MS Office.

Project Coordination & Execution Support

• planning, execution, and handover stages of MEP construction works.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely achievement of MEP milestones.
• Monitor project schedules, identify risks or delays, and report updates to the project manager and stakeholders.

Technical & Design Coordination

• Collaborate with consultants to review design drawings, specifications, and technical documents for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, and other critical infrastructure.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve design or technical issues.
• Assist in ensuring proper testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems, including support during IST (Integrated Systems Testing).

Contract & Cost Support

• Support the evaluation of MEP construction methods and materials for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in monitoring budget usage, tracking variations, and preparing progress and cost reports.

Stakeholder & Contractor Support

• Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities.
• Support discussions with local teams and customers on MEP progress and challenges.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all MEP construction activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Support adherence to permitting requirements and coordinate documentation for local authority approvals.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and promote best practices within the project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-10 years of experience in MEP or construction engineering; experience in data center construction is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical power systems, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with local authority approval processes and MEP testing & commissioning procedures.
• Experience with IST or critical infrastructure commissioning is preferred.
