Job summary

PT Abhitech Matra Indah is seeking a Senior Well Completion Engineer to plan, design, and oversee completion and testing operations for offshore and onshore projects in Indonesia. You will ensure HSE compliance, lead cross-functional teams, and Manage risks while delivering within schedule and budget.

The role requires 10+ years in oil and gas, 5+ years in well completion/testing, and strong proficiency in industry standards and software tools. IWCF Level 4 and BOSIET are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Petroleum preferred.
• 10+ years oil and gas with 5+ years in well completion, testing, workover.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary well delivery teams and managing risks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee completion and testing operations to meet objectives.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards during all phases.
• Collaborate with Drilling, Subsurface, and Production to align goals.
• Manage and mitigate risks through proactive planning.
• Monitor performance to ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
• Provide technical support during well interventions and troubleshooting.
• Design and implement completion strategies to optimize production and reservoir recovery.
• Develop detailed completion programs: equipment, fluids, and well-control measures.
• Supervise workshop prep, on-site completion and testing operations.
• Conduct post-operation evaluations to identify improvements and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for resources and quality.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and regulatory records.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements to apply best practices.

• · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.
• · Minimum 10 years of oil and gas industry experience, including 5 years of direct experience in well completion, well testing, workover and well intervention engineering.
• · Proven experience in planning and executing complex well completion and testing operations in offshore and/or onshore environments.
• · Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary well delivery teams, managing technical risks, and delivering projects within approved schedule and budget.
• · Experience working with Joint Venture (JV) partners, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
• · Expert knowledge of well completion, testing, workover, well intervention, and well integrity engineering principles.
• · Thorough understanding of international and local industry standards, including API, ISO, NORSOK, SNI, and PUPOPKU requirements.
• · Proficient in tubing stress and completion design software (e.g., WellCAT, StressCheck, Landmark, or equivalent).
• · Proficient in well cost estimation, scheduling, and performance tracking tools, including BS19 worksheets.
• · Proficient in well engineering software, data management systems, and digital well delivery tools.
• · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
• · Valid IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Certification Level 4 or equivalent, valid BOSIET/TBOSIET, Completion, Well Integrity, or Well Intervention professional certifications are advantageous.
• · HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment, or Project Management certifications are desirable.
• · Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with strong technical reporting and presentation skills.
