Job summary

PT THE JANNAH PROJECT (Jannah Restaurant) in Bali seeks a Commis Pastry/Baker to assist in daily pastry preparation, produce and garnish items, and maintain high hygiene standards. You will work in a bustling pastry section, ensuring proper storage and neat presentation.

We require 1–2 years of pastry/bakery experience in casual fine dining, pastry shop, or hotel. Weekend shifts and public holidays may apply; base in Seseh, Badung, Bali.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Commis Pastry or Baker in a casual fine dining restaurant, pastry shop or hotel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily pastry mise en place and production.
• Produce and garnish pastry items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pastry station and equipment.
• Ensure proper storage of pastry ingredients at required temperatures.
• Monitor stock levels and report needs to the section head.

Job description

Assist in daily food preparation (mise en place) for all pastry, dessert, and bakery menu items.

Produce and garnish pastry and dessert products according to company standard recipes and presentation.

Maintain strict cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry station, ovens, mixers, and utensils.

Ensure proper storage of pastry ingredients at required temperatures.

Monitor ingredient stock levels within the pastry section and report to the section head.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Commis Pastry or Baker in a Casual Fine Dining restaurant, Pastry Shop, or hotel (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).

Good basic knowledge of baking techniques, dessert making, and precise ingredient measurement.

High attention to detail and neatness in plating and garnishing.

Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, disciplined, and possesses good working stamina.

Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Willing to be placed in Seseh, Badung, Bali.
