Job summary

RGE in Indonesia is seeking a Civil Drafter to support engineering teams with precise drawings and layouts using CAD software. The role involves interpreting specifications, preparing detailed drawings for machinery, equipment, and structures, and ensuring compliance with drafting standards.

You will collaborate on major civil construction projects, convert sketches into accurate plans, and contribute to design improvements. Willingness to relocate to the job location is expected.

Qualifications

• Follow established drafting standards and principles.
• Prepare layouts and drawings from engineering specifications.
• Relocate to the job location if required.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD and related software or manual drafting techniques to perform scaling, dimensioning, or line locating.
• Combine details from sketches, drawings, and blueprints to make calculations.
• Detail, redraw, letter, and trace drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
• Interpret data, instructions, and specifications to prepare accurate drawings.
• Schedule, conduct, or coordinate phases of major civil engineering projects.
• Participates in activities related to the civil engineering of commercial construction projects.
• Analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects.
• Develops, recommends, and applies improvements in design standards to resolve unusual design and engineering problems.
• Designs and develops machines, tools, and equipment to handle complex construction engineering projects.
• May act as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on civil projects.

• Interpret data, instructions, and specifications (for example previous drawings, layouts, sketches, notes, and verbal instructions) to prepare accurate drawings.
• Schedules, conducts, or coordinates phases of major civil engineering projects.
• Participates in activities related to the civil engineering of commercial construction projects.
• Analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects.
• Develops, recommends, and applies improvements in design standards to resolve unusual design and engineering problems.
• Designs and develops machines, tools, and equipment to handle complex construction engineering projects.
• May act as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on civil projects. To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
• A degree in the related job field.
• Those with 1 to 2 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage but not essential.
