Job summary

6923 Sateri (Nantong) Fiber Co., Ltd. is seeking a drafting engineer to prepare layouts and drawings using CAD from engineering specifications. You will combine sketches, drawings, and blueprints to make calculations and detail drawings for machinery, equipment, and structures.

Willingness to relocate is requested, with 1–2 years’ related experience preferred. You will participate in civil construction project phases, analyze design reliability, and contribute to design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Follow established drafting standards and principles to prepare layouts and drawings from engineering specifications.
• Use CAD and related software to perform scaling, dimensioning, or line locating.
• Detail, redraw, letter, and trace drawings for components, assemblies, and ECOs.
• Interpret data and specifications to prepare accurate drawings.
• Schedule, conduct, or coordinate phases of major civil engineering projects.
• Participate in civil engineering activities for commercial construction projects.
• Analyze design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects.
• Develop and apply design standard improvements to resolve problems.
• Design and develop machines, tools, and equipment for complex projects.
• May act as an internal consultant on civil projects.

Responsibilities:

• Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and associated peripheral equipment and software or manual drafting techniques to perform scaling dimensioning, or line locating.
• Combine details from sketches, drawings, and blueprints to make required calculations.
• Detail, redraw, letter, and trace drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
• Interpret data, instructions, and specifications (for example previous drawings, layouts, sketches, notes, and verbal instructions) to prepare accurate drawings.
• Schedules, conducts, or coordinates phases of major civil engineering projects.
• Participates in activities related to the civil engineering of commercial construction projects.
• Analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects.
• Develops, recommends, and applies improvements in design standards to resolve unusual design and engineering problems.
• Designs and develops machines, tools, and equipment to handle complex construction engineering projects.
• May act as an internal consultant providing technical guidance on civil projects.
