Job summary

Opus Bay Batam is seeking a Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations at our waterfront township in Batam. You will supervise food preparation, ensure high standards, and coordinate tasks across sections to meet timelines and quality goals.

In this role you will train and mentor Commis, Demi Chefs, and Chef de Partie, stepping in as kitchen leader when the Head Chef is absent. Join a dynamic team in a premier resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise food preparation and production according to approved recipes and standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and served on time and according to operational requirements.
• Monitor kitchen workflow and coordinate activities between different kitchen sections.
• Conduct daily kitchen briefings and assign tasks to team members.
• Act as the kitchen leader in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Commis, Demi Chefs, Chef de Partie, and other kitchen employees.
