Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd, on behalf of a leading private healthcare group in Indonesia, seeks a Head of Medical Services in Surabaya to oversee hospital medical operations and lead the Medical Division across Emergency & Critical Care, Outpatient, and Medical Check-Up services.

The role emphasizes clinical governance, patient safety, and continuous service improvement, working with physicians and hospital leadership to elevate care quality and operational performance.

Qualifications

• MD with valid professional credentials and licensure
• Master’s degree in Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management is highly advantageous
• Minimum 7 years of relevant hospital medical-services experience
• Proven leadership in managing physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety
• Experience in Emergency, Critical Care, Outpatient, or Medical Check‑Up services
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and professional ethics
• Excellent English and stakeholder-management skills
• Willingness to relocate to Surabaya, if required

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate medical service operations across Emergency, Critical Care, Outpatient, and Medical Check-Up
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term plans for the Medical Division aligned with hospital strategy
• Establish and monitor annual objectives, KPIs, policies, clinical standards, and SOPs
• Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and per clinical standards
• Monitor medical-service performance, patient outcomes, utilization, and operational effectiveness
• Collaborate with physicians and departments to maintain high patient care standards
• Coordinate physician scheduling and workforce planning
• Ensure compliance with ethics, policies, and regulations
• Manage and resolve patient complaints related to medical services
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes and patient experience
• Monitor division expenditure and budget utilization
• Review operational and clinical reports to support decisions
• Lead talent development within the Medical Division
• Coordinate with Nursing, Finance, HR, and other hospital functions
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and authorities
• Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to Hospital Director
