Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is seeking a Chief Engineer to support the Director of Engineering in overseeing maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring the property remains safe, efficient, and impeccably maintained.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead the engineering team, coordinate maintenance across critical building systems, manage vendor relationships, and respond to guest and operational needs with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality engineering or facilities maintenance; 2+ years of supervisory leadership in a hotel.

About The Role

Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is seeking a Chief Engineer to support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring the property remains safe, efficient, and impeccably maintained. In this role, you will help lead the engineering team, coordinate maintenance across critical building systems, support staff development, manage vendor relationships, and respond to guest and operational needs with professionalism and care. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to operational excellence.

What You Will Do

• Assist in managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects.
• Assist in the training, supervision, counseling, scheduling and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.
• Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors who provide reliable 24-hour emergency services.
• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

What You Bring

• Previous experience in hospitality engineering, facilities maintenance, or related trades preferred, with at least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a hotel environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facilities operations.
• Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance-related technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with guests, team members, and vendors.
• English and Indonesian languages skills are preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and support a fast-paced operation.
• Hold Safety and Health certification (K3 Umum).
• Familiar with HOTSOS and online database systems for Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling.
• Familiar with online energy monitoring systems.
• Familiar with kitchen maintenance and equipment requirements related to HACCP standards.
