Role Description

The Chemistry Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The teacher will design and deliver engaging chemistry lessons, prepare instructional materials, and develop lesson plans aligned with the school's science and leadership-focused curriculum. Daily responsibilities include teaching classes, assessing student progress through assignments and tests, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate science and technology into learning, participate in school meetings and events, and support students' character and leadership development. The role also involves creating a safe, inclusive, and environmentally conscious classroom environment that encourages inquiry and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Chemistry Education and strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, with the ability to connect concepts to real-world applications.
• Teaching and Lesson Planning skills, including designing structured, engaging, and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific ideas clearly and build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Background or familiarity with Physics to support interdisciplinary STEM learning when needed.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the middle or high school level is highly desirable.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that supports diverse learning styles and promotes student participation.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student welfare and character development.
