Job summary

Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk in Semarang is seeking a Chemical Engineer to provide essential production support for daily chemical operations. You will monitor production performance, troubleshoot deviations, and drive improvements to yield, quality, and safety.

The role suits an early to mid-career engineer with 2–5 years in chemical manufacturing. You will work closely with production teams to meet targets and contribute to the site’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or production support.
Good understanding of chemical processes, unit operations, and process control principles.
Familiarity with SPC concepts is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily chemical production performance, analyzing KPIs.
Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting process deviations and equipment issues.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Assist in developing and updating SOPs and work instructions.
Participate in safety reviews and ensure adherence to plant safety regulations.
Support process validation and qualification activities for new or modified processes.
