Oversee implementation of work procedures, workplace safety, and ensure work attributes are in place to create a safe working environment
Maintain standards of taste, cleanliness and portion sizes of food according to Executive Chef specifications
Plan ordering of goods and food materials, create purchasing lists needed for smooth kitchen operations to prevent wastage or spoilage
Receive and verify food materials from suppliers are fresh and quantities match orders
Oversee kitchen work especially during service to ensure food quality can be accounted for
Assign daily tasks to Cooks and team members under your supervision
Collaborate and communicate with GRE’s or wait staff regarding guest numbers arriving and departing for operational smoothness and special requests from guests (vegetarian, allergies, gluten free and others)
Minimise risk of damage and accidents in the workplace
Ensure sanitation, cleanliness and HACCP standards in all kitchen areas
Create and implement team development plans for kitchen staff to grow according to individual talents and abilities
Minimum 2 years experience as CDP (Chef de Partie)
Able to speak and write English well
Proficient in Office (Word and Excel)
Willing to reside at the workplace/resort during employment and able to work flexible hours
Diligent, disciplined and able to adapt to customer requests
Able to work in a challenging work environment
