IKEA Indonesia in Surabaya is hiring a Checkout Services Part Timer to support the store's payment operations at the cashier desk. You will process transactions accurately, assist customers, and help maintain a smooth checkout experience.
This role requires experience in customer service, strong communication, calm under pressure, and a practical, friendly approach. The position involves a mix of shifts in the Surabaya store, with a focus on accuracy and service.

What you’ll be doing day to day:
Ensure that all payment transactions at the checkout counter are processed efficiently, accurately, and securely in accordance with company policies and delegated authority.
Verify that the total amount collected at the end of each shift is accurate and balanced.
Provide appropriate solutions to customers’ inquiries and frequently asked questions to enhance the overall shopping experience. Handle payments and customer feedback in a professional, accurate, and service-minded manner.
Maintain all checkout and cash office equipment in good working condition, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
We want you to be a person who:
Has proven experience in customer service, preferably in a cashier or checkout function within a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
Possesses strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to manage conflict or challenging situations effectively.
Demonstrates a friendly, helpful, and professional approach toward customers, aiming to achieve mutual satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
Is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in daily transactions.
Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and embraces change with a positive attitude.
Willing to work in a store and in a mixture of days - shifting and placed in Surabaya.
