Job summary

IKEA Indonesia is hiring a Checkout Assistant to ensure fast and secure payment processing at the store’s checkout counters and to balance the day’s takings. You will handle payments, respond to questions, and maintain the checkout area and cash office equipment.

The role requires a customer-focused attitude, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, weekend-capable environment as stores operate seven days a week.

What you'll be doing day to day:

Ensuring that the payment process at the checkout counter is fast and secure according to the authority.

Ensuring that by the end of the day, the total amount collected is balanced.

Offer solutions to frequently asked questions. This helps to make the shopping experience better in the future for everyone.

Handling payments and complaints in an efficient, accurate and friendly way.

Maintaining all equipment used in the checkout and cash office.

Experience ofcustomer focus and customer services, preferably experienced in checkout/cashier area.

Goodcommunication skills and emotional resilience andability to handle conflict.

Helpful and friendly in myapproach to my customers, always aiming for a win-win situation and for repeat business.

Having a goodcommon sense and attention to detail.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced and future-oriented environment. As our store trades 7 days a week, you have the ability to work a mix of day.
